The Nervous System

                                              Nervous System

     Nervous System Functions
The nervous system is made up of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. It is the
body's communication system that controls much of what your body does. It allows
you to do things like walk, speak, swallows, breathes and learn, and controls how
your body reacts in an emergency.

Organs Of The Nervous System
The major organs of the nervous system are the brain, spinal cord and sensory organs. The brain controls our thoughts, memory and speech, movement of the arms and legs, and the function of many organs within our body. The spinal cord has three major roles such as to relay messages from the brain to different parts of the body, to perform an action, to pass along messages from sensory receptors to the brain, and to coordinate reflexes that are managed by the spinal cord along. The sensory organs are the eyes, ears, tongue, skin, and nose help us see, hear, taste, feel and smell.

How The Organs Work With Other Organs In The Nervous System!!

The nervous system works with many other systems. One of the example is the skeletal system. The bones provide calcium that is essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system. The digestive system works with the nervous system by providing the building blocks for some neurotransmitters and for the respiratory system the brain monitors respiratory volume and blood gas levels. The muscular system works with the nervous system, for example by receptors in muscles provide the brain with information about body position and movement.

Analogy Image

Nervous System Analogy :

In the human body, the nervous system is the master system that controls all other body organs, to perform its functions. In the Car, the computer system is controlling all functions of the brain in the nervous system.

In the human body, the nervous system passes its signals through millions of neuron cells.  In the Car, the computer system passes its signals through many tiny wires and smart chip units.

In the human body, the brain is able to recognize and analyze our vision. In the car,
the computer is able to recognize and analyze the surroundings by cameras, radars
and ultrasonic sensors.

Bonus: Analogy: The immune system works like what happens when a prisoner is breaking out of their cell. Pathogen: a pathogen is something that can cause illness that is trying to enter your body to infect your cells. In the prison break analogy the prisoner is the pathogen. Both are trying to break through something.
